Valkyries Series - Solveig Valhalla 2024 - 1 Oz Silver Gilded
This is the third issue in the Germania Mint's new Valkyries series, which will feature a collection of Germanic goddesses - beautiful and warrior maidens, daughters of Odin. In mythology, the Valkyries carried the souls of the bravest warriors who had fallen in battle to Valhalla. Solveig symbolizes the awakening of summer and with it a new beginning.
On the obverse, Solveig, the sun goddess, is accompanied by a fearless and courageous bear. The Valkyrie herself carries an axe in her hand and wears a leather skirt and straps that encircle her body, as well as iron epaulettes and bracelets. She is adorned with the rune of Sowilo, a symbol of warmth and energy that allows her to be reborn in glory. This edition is strictly limited to only 999 pieces worldwide.
